Founder and Travel Specialist
Born in South Africa, Jeremy has been fortunate to grow up in a nature-lover’s paradise. He has spent many years exploring the unique and untamed corners of the region—whether it’s encountering the Big Five on foot, summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, running 100km around the Cape Town peninsula, or searching for rare birds in Zimbabwe’s Eastern Highlands.
From wildlife and fine wine to art, culture and cuisine, Jeremy’s interests are broad but his greatest passion is for travel. He eventually ditched the corporate life to turn this passion into a fulltime pursuit.
Jeremy founded Golilo to allow other travellers to see Africa the way he does: as the most diverse, inspiring and extraordinary place on earth. His local knowledge is invaluable as are his organisational skills and keen attention to detail. He has a knack for matching guest preferences with the perfect combination of destinations and experiences.
Jeremy treats every guest like a genuine friend and always goes the extra mile to ensure each trip is an unforgettable adventure.
Why the name Golilo?
Just like the holidays we plan, our name is unique and rather unusual. Golilo (go-lee-low) is a combination of three words that sum up why we exist and why we wake up every morning with the desire to design the best African experiences for our guests: Go Live Local.
